About
Eley, was first established in London, UK in 1828 by William and Charles Eley when the brothers purchased the patent rights to the wire cartridge. The company later moved to Birmingham, UK where the factory is still located today. Eley is known for its specialization in . 22LR calibre cartridges, which are now sold worldwide in 90 countries.
Eley has also been the ammunition supplier to competitors in Olympic competition shooting since 1964. In October 2014 LDC Acquired Eley Group from IMI plc for GBP 42 million. Eley produces a wide range of ammunition for Pistols and rifles used in recreational shooting, hunting and competition shooting such as Biathlon and benchrest. The firm sells its ammunition through retailers worldwide as well as through its own online store.
Eley’s company vison is to be to be the world’s leading supplier of small-bore target-shooting solutions and the group has delivered significant growth, as a result of on-going product development, alongside increasing demand from a growing global customer base for its products, particularly in the UK and USA.
