Founded in 2017 and based in Pune, India, Electrodrive Powertrain Solutions Pvt. Ltd. , trading name under Electra EV, operates as a provider of replacement parts for electric vehicles. In 2021, Electra EV was awarded ISO 9001:2015 QMS certification by TÜV SÜD South Asia, a sustainability solution company in India.
The company became the first of its kind -- pure-play EV powertrain company -- to be granted for ISO 9001:2015 certification. In 2022, the company raised INR 2070 million from GEF Capital Partners. The company's products include traction units, battery packs, on board charger, vehicle control unit, vehicle chargers and telematics. The company also provides services of maintaining EV parts, prototyping, and develop battery/traction/control/powertrain solutions for different EVs.
As of 2020, the company has made up to twenty five per cent of EV market share in India.
