Based in Curitiba, Brazil, and founded in 2012 by Alphonse Voigt, Wagner Ruiz, and João Del Valle, Ebanx SA is a global financial group that offers various payment methods. In October 2019, FTV Capital invested in the company, and then it became one of the first unicorn companies in Brazil. In June 2021, Advent International invested USD 430 million in the company ahead of its planned IPO, with João Del Valle as Ebanx's CEO. The company has more than 1200 employees spread across the globe.
Ebanx SA has operations in 15 countries around the globe including Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. In October 2021, Ebanx has also announced the acquisition of Juno, a Brazilian startup in the business payments sector. Ebanx has processed over USD 3. 5 billion across and 150 million transactions in 2020 alone.
Ebanx SA primarily offers end-to-end payment solutions across the entire e-commerce transaction flow that help businesses in Latin America to connect with global merchants, from payment processing, partner connection, market expertise, localization consulting, risk management, fraud prevention, compliance, and regulation. The company plans to use the funds from Advent International to develop a high-performing digital payment solution and further expand its market presence. The company also plans to file an IPO in 2022.
