Based in Switzerland, and founded in 2007 by Katrin and CEO Paul Fritz, Seniorendienste Schweiz AG, trading under the name Dovida and formerly known as Home Instead Holding AG, is an elderly home care services provider. The company is the Swiss franchise of the Nebraska-based Home Instead, Inc. , a company founded in 1994 by Paul and Lori Hogan, with 18 branches and around 2000 employees. In August 2025, Ardian, along with BCGE Private Markets, acquired a majority stake in Dovida from Verium, Unigestion.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Dovida provides home care services for the elderly. The company's services include the areas of society, cooking, housekeeping, medication reminders, doing shopping, the occasional driving services, or personal support. Dovida specializes in caring for people with dementia, especially Alzheimer's.
With the company's mission, Dovida's CAREGiver encourages, supports, and motivates its clients to lead an independent, self-determined life in their own homes. The acquisition by Ardian aims to support the company's growth and development plans.
