Delivery Hero provides an online platform for customers, delivery personnel, store owner, and restaurant owners to order, deliver, and manage orders.
The company allows customers to place their order either through a website or mobile application and allows them to make payment through both cash and online payment. Customers' orders are delivered either by Delivery Hero’s riders or by the partner restaurants on their own. In addition, the company also offers food packaging and advertising for restaurants. The April 2026 acquisition helps Uber to increase its ownership stake in Delivery Hero, giving it greater financial exposure to a major global food delivery platform without operating control.
