About

Based in Tel Aviv, Israel, and founded in 2018, CVAid Medical, aka CVAid operates as a healthcare company that provides an AI-based stroke detection technological platform for cerebrovascular accidents (CVAs, or strokes). The company was co-founded by Oren Dror (CEO), Nadav Eichler (CTO), Danny Farin, Shmuel Raz, and Rotem Sivan-Hoffmann, and in February 2022, the firm raised USD 4 million in series A funding led by new investor RAD BioMed, with participation from other new investors Koninklijke Philips N. V. and Sanara Ventures.

CVAid Medical offers an Artificial Intelligence (AI)- powered stroke triage platform called CVAid, designed to assist remote medical teams or neuro specialists in diagnosing patients for stroke or CVAs, through a smartphone application and cloud server. The company's platform enables neuro teams to remotely examine patients' video and voice data, and its AI and machine learning technologies analyze and compare this data with the firm's database of stroke patients' medical records to generate real-time conclusions that are then used by medical teams to diagnose stroke and provide severity levels. The application also synchronizes EMS (Emergency Medical Services), stroke centers, physicians, and other stakeholders, allowing the neuro team to make quick decisions on stroke treatment and coordinate with other stakeholders to provide quality treatment at the critical time, avoiding potential damage and saving patient lives. The mobile application also assists patients by providing data on stroke recovery and deterioration rates through continuous follow-ups.

CVAid Medical intends to use the February 2022 funding to continue its clinical research and expand its groundbreaking development center in Israel.
