About

Based in Beijing, China and founded in 2025, Wange Zhiyuan (Beijing) Intelligent Technology Co. , Ltd. , dba cPilot, was established to build infrastructure enabling artificial intelligence to operate directly on personal and edge devices. Founded by a doctoral researcher from Tsinghua University and supported by a team with backgrounds from institutions such as Tsinghua University and Peking University as well as companies including ByteDance, Alibaba, and Tencent, the company focuses on long-term development of edge-side AI infrastructure and local intelligence platforms.

In March 2026, cPilot closed a venture funding from Alpha Startups, TusStar and Lingyi Capital. The company develops edge-side computing engines designed to run large AI models locally on devices without relying on cloud-based GPU infrastructure. Its core technology includes a proprietary inference engine that enables efficient model inference on CPUs, allowing AI models to run on personal computers, robotics systems, and other devices. The technology is designed to address issues related to cloud-based AI inference such as privacy concerns, high token costs, and network latency.

The firm also develops local intelligent platforms to support AI agents and personal device-based AI computing. The company generates revenue from providing edge-side AI computing infrastructure and local inference solutions to enterprise clients such as computer and robotics manufacturers. Additional revenue may come from software platforms and computing services designed to support local AI execution on consumer devices.
