Founded in 1995 as Roving Software Incorporated, Constant Contact, Inc. , an internet marketing company based in Massachusetts, was acquired by Endurance International Group, Inc. in 2016 for over USD 1 billion, sold to Clearlake Capital Group and Siris Capital in 2021 and merged into Newfold Digital, Inc. , and In October 2025, Clearlake Capital Group moved Constant Contact, Inc to the Icon Partners VI.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. As of June 2021, Constant Contact, Inc. is being led by its CEO, Frank Vella. The firm provides a subscription software service (SaaS) facilitating web and e-mail marketing as well as website design with integrated analytics and connectivity with social media platforms.
The pricing starts at USD 20 per month and 45 per month for a basic and plus account respectively, however, the price also depends on the number of users and the number of intended e-mail recipients. Following the agreement to acquire SharpSpring, Inc. in June 2021 for approximately USD 240 million, Constant Contact, Inc. intends to integrate SharpSpring's suite of revenue growth and marketing automation tools with its email and e-commerce offerings to enable clients to deliver better marketing-driven results.
