Based in Tampere, Finland, and founded in 2017 by Chief Executive Officer Matti Jarvelainen and Chief Technology Officer Teemu Yli-Hallila, ColloidTek Oy doing business as Collo, operates as a developer of technological platform that provides food and beverage companies with ongoing monitoring to improve and optimize their production processes. In August 2024, Collo raised EUR 5 million in venture funding co-led by SEB Greentech Venture Capital and FORWARD. one, with participation from Scale Capital.   Collo developed Collo Analyzer, which is a device that uses EMF technology to monitor and analyze liquids.

The company’s analyzer is capable of detecting changes in chemical composition, physical properties, and even ionic movements within any liquid, regardless of viscosity, color, and solids density. It provides insights for quality control, process optimization, and product development, making it an essential tool for industries ranging from dairy production to chemical manufacturing. Its Collo Analyzer also features a user interface, the ColloCloud, which allows for remote monitoring and control of liquid processes. As of 2024, ColloidTek Oy serves various customers such as Kemira, GVK, ABB, Geberit,  DelSitech, Nordkalk, and many more.
