In February 2022, Circumfix Solutions, Inc raised venture funding from Evonik Venture Capital. The company's product is a medical device that is composed of a slender chest plate placed on the sternum and kept in place by fasteners that encircle the sternum and are affixed to the plate. This design enables load sharing of the bone and device while restricting motion, resulting in increased stability and pain reduction.
In case a further operation is required the device can be quickly reopened and closed again.
