About

Founded in 2008 and based in Suzhou, China, CH Biomedical was established by a team of overseas experts in cardiac device development. Its U. S. subsidiary, CH Biomedical USA, Inc.

, is based in Los Angeles, California. In 2021, its CH-VAD device became the first domestically approved fully magnetically levitated artificial heart in China. CH Biomedical has regularly presented at the International Society for Mechanical Circulatory Support and other global academic conferences. In 2020, the Texas Heart Institute conducted a GLP-compliant preclinical study on CH-VAD.

Dr. Feng Lin, the company’s co-founder and CTO, previously worked at Kriton Medical. In July 2025, the company completed a strategic funding round. The company engages in the development of artificial heart assist devices.

Its main product is a full magnetic levitation blood pump artificial heart CH-VAD. The full magnetic levitation blood pump artificial heart CH-VAD has the function of pumping blood to the human circulatory system to assist or replace the natural heart. The CH-VAD is a new generation of fully magnetically levitated artificial heart, by rotating the vane rotor to create negative pressure in the center of the blood pump rotor to pump the patient's left ventricular blood to the ascending aorta, generating flow in the circulatory system and realizing that the blood pump works in tandem with the natural heart. The company generates revenue through sales of its ventricular assist devices and related medical technology services.

Proceeds from the latest funding round will be used to accelerate commercialization of CH-VAD in China, expand overseas clinical trials, and strengthen the adoption of ventricular assist therapy nationwide.
