Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and founded in 2013, under the name SontraCargo which later rebranded as Frete. com, a provider of logistics solutions that uses machine learning and big data, enabling users to analyze supply and delivery processes and track the performance of drivers, trucks, fleet, and delivery problems. Frete. com holding was created in 2021 by combining Cargo X (Cargo X Tecnologia Ltda.
), FreteBras, and FretePago. In January 2026, Frete. com raised BRL 150 million in venture funding from XP Inc. Returning investors BTG Pactual and Poligono Capital also participated in the round.
Frete. com offers a marketplace with technology solutions and working capital developed for small fleet and carriers’ entrepreneurs. In addition, the company’s marketplace provides a path of cargo on the dashboard and visualizes the entire transportation process with the help of machine learning and tracking technology. The company also provides a mobile application for the drivers to track the transportation process.
The company plans to use the January 2026 funding to grow its credit offerings and broaden financial services available to transportation businesses within its logistics network.
