Based in Sydney, Australia, and founded in 2018, Canopus Networks is a provider of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based network analytics platform, intended to deliver application usage and user experience insights to tier-1 network providers, allowing them to make the necessary adjustments to enhance their operations. In December 2021, the company raised USD 10 million in series A funding led by new investor Pentanet, and as of January 2022, Canopus Networks is being led by its co-founders Vijay Sivaraman and Himal Kumar, as its CEO and CTO, respectively. Canopus Networks develops and offers an AI-powered network analysis platform that assists tier-1 telecom carriers in monitoring, understanding and enhancing their performance in order to improve customer satisfaction. The company's platform combines programmable networks (SDN) with machine learning capabilities to provide deep visibility into network traffic in real-time, at a terabit scale, and at a low cost.

It includes features like FlowPulse analytics, which continuously tracks various flow attributes, real-time dashboards, and Customer QoE, which measures the user experience for various applications such as conferencing, live video streaming, and gaming, among others. The firm’s product suite includes TELCO / ISP, the configuration or plan for tracking applications, user engagement, and user experience; CDN / IXP, for service tracking and performance troubleshooting; and Game hosting, for delivering gaming experience and gaming demands data to eSport and tournaments. Canopus Networks will use the funds to accelerate its growth and expand into 5G, gaming, and international markets.
