Canhelp Genomics

Founded in 2014 and based in the Joinstar Biomedical Valley, Hangzhou, China, Canhelp Genomics was established as the first company in the country dedicated to RNA-based molecular diagnostics for oncology. The team includes experts from institutions and companies such as KU Leuven, Fudan University, Tongji University, bioMérieux, AstraZeneca, and Novartis. The company has developed a leading R&D and translation platform that integrates gene expression profiling and bioinformatics, accelerating the discovery and industrialization of next-generation tumor biomarkers. In 2018, a multi-centers clinical trial was launched for Canhelp-Origin Test’s medical instrument registration.

In 2022, Canhelp-Origin Test approved by NMPA (Chinese FDA), and was CE certificated. Canhelp Genomics develops molecular diagnostic technologies and products tailored to oncology. Its first NMPA- and CE-approved product, Canhelp-Origin, accurately identifies the tissue of origin in cancers with unknown primary sites (CUP), providing physicians with essential information for optimal treatment decisions. In addition, the company has built the Canhelp Cancer Knowledgebase (CCK) AI Platform, which integrates large-scale bioinformatics data and AI algorithms to uncover disease-gene associations.

Its product pipeline includes genomic tests designed for non-invasive cancer screening, diagnostic support, prognosis assessment, and treatment guidance; all aimed at addressing unmet clinical needs in oncology. The company generates revenue from the development, production, and commercialization of molecular diagnostic products and services, including approved cancer diagnostic kits and bioinformatics-driven oncology solutions. In September 2025, Canhelp Genomics closed a venture funding from new investor Lujiazui (Zhejiang) Assets Management.
