About
Based in France, and founded in 2016, Cairdac provides a self-sustaining leadless pacing system. The firm was founded by An Nguyen-Dinh. As of 2023, the company is headed by its CEO Edouard Fonck. In March 2022, the firm raised EUR 17 million in Series A funding from investors Bpifrance, Carvest, Supernova Invest, and Turenne Groupe.
Returning investor Doliam also participated in the round. The firm offers ALPS which is autonomous leadless pacing transcatheter system that does cardiac pacing with self-sustaining energy management. It does this by converting the kinetic energy of the heart into electrical energy. As a result, the gadget continuously builds up the electrical energy required to pace the heart.
The company plan to use March 2022 funding for the development of ALPS.
