Bolta

Based in Seoul, South Korea, and founded in 2023, Bolta Corporation, doing business as Bolta, operates an e-tax invoice SaaS firm that offers tax invoice issuance services. The company was founded by its CEO, Moonhyeok Lee, and CTO Taeyang Jin. In January 2024, Bolta raised an undisclosed amount in pre-series A funding led by new investor Strong Ventures, with participation from another new investor Companoid Labs. Individual investors also participated in the round.

Bolta provides SaaS (Software as a Service), which is a platform that specializes in creating and maintaining electronic tax invoices. The platform offers multiple features and solutions, such as integration with Slack, login-based tax invoice issuance, tax invoice cancellation, and a dashboard for viewing tax invoices. The customer submits the publication details through the platform; after they submit the details, the platform creates a tax invoice in accordance with local tax laws, which the customer can check and approve before it is issued. The company generates revenue by offering its services on a subscription-based pricing plan.

The plans include closed beta, early access, and essential. The company will use the January 2024 funding to accelerate its entry into B2B fintech market.
