Based in Illinois, US, and founded in 1894 by George Everett Haskell and William W. Bosworth, Beatrice Companies, Inc. , formerly known as Haskell and Bosworth, provides media, food distribution, and specialty product services. The company was renamed from Haskell and Bosworth to Beatrice Creamery Company in 1898, rebranded as Beatrice Foods Co.


in 1946, and became Beatrice Companies, Inc. in 1984. In 1990, KKR divested all the assets of Beatrice Companies, Inc. Following the transaction, Beatrice Companies, Inc.


discontinued its operations. Later in 2007, the company revived its operations. As of March 2026, DeWitt P. Hoopes serves as President and CEO of the company.


Beatrice Companies, Inc. , serves institutional, wholesale, retail, and direct customers. Its offerings include digital media platforms (Bview streaming, BNS broadcasting, Bfaith radio, Zonophone), food distribution services via Beatrice Foods Co. , and specialty food products for limited and seasonal orders.


Through Beatrice Media, Inc. , the company operates digital content and broadcasting platforms including Bview (video streaming), BNS (Beatrice Network Services) for news and programming, Bfaith for faith-based radio and streaming, and Zonophone, which focuses on classic radio content. These platforms distribute news, documentaries, cultural programming, entertainment films, and audio content. In addition, the firm offers a variety of specialty food products, including seasonal and branded items.


The company’s revenue is generated through media services, content distribution, wholesale food distribution, and sales of specialty food products via its subsidiaries.
