In June 2026, Compass raised a venture funding led by China Reform Holdings Corporation, with participation from Dalton Venture, Yunqi Partners, and Frees Fund, Baidu Ventures.

Based on its "AI Virtual Cell Platform," Compass is dedicated to simulating real-life processes to enable engineering of cell design, drug development, and treatment plans. It builds multi-species knowledge-enhanced large models, integrating multimodal data such as genomics and transcriptomes to achieve cellular-level dynamic modeling and prediction. The platform has been applied to a variety of cutting-edge fields, including engineered cell CRO services, stem cell drug development, exosome drug pipelines, and γδT cell immunotherapy, forming a closed-loop system integrating "virtual experiments + cell manufacturing + AI drug pipelines.
