Based in Maryland, US, and Founded in 1976, Avrio RMS Group began as a custom software developer doing business as RMS Technology Solutions Inc. Now, the company is a provider of wireless security systems for the public safety market. The company designs, engineers and deploys turnkey wireless security solutions for municipalities and organizations with wide-area surveillance needs. With offices in Buffalo Grove, IL and Easton, MD, Avrio RMS Group is a privately held company.

In 2008, RMS Technology Solutions became a Generation 3 Capital portfolio company. In June 2009, Waveland Investments merged Avrio Group Surveillance Solutions, LLC. and RMS Technology Solutions to form Avrio RMS Group. In 2011 Avrio RMS Group became part of Carrick Bend (www.

carrickbendco. com). In 2014 Avrio RMS Group was acquired along with PantaScene LLC (another Gen3 holding) by Hitachi Data Systems. Pantascene and Avrio solutions formed a new public safety group within Hitachi Data Systems.

The company created the pole-mounted wireless surveillance camera systems known as PODSS® (Portable Over Digital Surveillance Systems) and developed the wireless IP video network covering over 200 square miles. The company’s products include video surveillance systems covering cameras, sensors, digital video recorder (DVR), network video recorder (NVR), video analytics & management software. The company’s services include the design & implementation of wireless WAN, law enforcement video surveillance, VoIP, and VPN. The company’s deployments protect several US cities, the Northern and Southern US Borders and have secured VIP events such as the Presidential Inauguration, Democratic National Convention, Republican National Convention, G20 Summit and the Superbowl.
