Automalógica

Based in Brazil and founded in 2006, Automalogica Systems For Automacao SA, a. k. a. Automalogica is a developer of software and technology solutions for energy companies, providing various solutions including, SCADA generation, OTS simulator, control maneuver, oscillography collection, renewable management, and more.

In August 2022, GEF Capital Partners invested BRL 80 million in Automalogica. As of August 2022, the company employs about 115 employees. The company provides a wide range of services and solutions, including SCADA generation for local operation centers and operation of power generation plants like wind, solar, hydraulic, and thermal; SCADA transmitters for the operation of substations and power transmission lines; collection and management of oscillography; automatic maneuver control; OTS (operator training simulator); and power limitation optimizer. Automalogica provides engineering services, such as the development and testing of SCADA systems, support and maintenance contracts, consulting and engineering services of the owner, rental of boxes for testing of electrical protection, and more.

Automalogica also offers digital solutions, such as renewable energy management, and asset monitoring and analysis; sub-season control and protection services like integrated control and protection solutions, and sub-stations automatisms; and photovoltaic scanning solutions. In 2026, Det Norske Veritas AS agreed to acquire Automa from GEF Capital Partners. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals. The acquisition enables Automa to accelerate its next growth phase by partnering with a global utility technology leader with deep international market expertise.
