Based in Colorado, US, and founded in 2017 by CEO Vanessa Clark and COO William Kowalski, Atomos Nuclear and Space Corp, trading as Atomos Space, is a space engineering, travel, launching, and landing company that builds and develops orbital transfer vehicles and space nuclear technology. In January 2022, Atomos Nuclear and Space Corp raised USD 16. 2 million in Series A funding co-led by Cantos Ventures and Yamauchi No. 10 Family, with participation from Upheaval Investments, Dolby Family Ventures, Arden Road Investments, Elefund, and Techstars.

Atomos Nuclear and Space Corp develops and operates orbital transfer vehicles (OTVs) to perform orbit raising, precision insertion, phasing, and plane change services for customers interested in delivering payloads to space. Atomos Space relocates unmodified satellites in orbit and allows users to maneuver without regret, changing the rocket equation by adding a second logistics step to the satellite launch. The company will use the venture funds to advance in-space transportation services and expects to launch its first two spacecraft, Quark, and Gluon, in 2023.
