Founded in 2004 by CEO Ari de Sá Cavalcante Neto and based in São Paulo, Brazil, Arco Platform Limited, operating through its subsidiary  Arco Educação SA is a educational technology company that offers technology-enabled learning solutions to private schools across the country. Established to address gaps in the Brazilian basic education system, Arco Platform Limited develops and distributes proprietary content, digital tools, and support services designed for students from kindergarten through high school. In August 2023, Dragoneer Investment Group and General Atlantic agreed to acquire Arco Platform Limited for USD 14 per share in cash. Arco Platform Limited offers two main product segments: Core Curriculum and Supplemental Solutions.

The Core Curriculum provides educational content that meets Brazil's national K-12 curriculum requirements. It includes two versions: SAS, designed for high-income schools, and SAE, aimed at upper-middle-income schools. Both offer tools like online homework assessments, adaptive learning for exam preparation, and interactive elements such as augmented reality. The Supplemental Solutions provide additional content, including an ESL bilingual program and activities such as robotics, where students can build and program Lego robots.

These solutions are intended to enhance learning beyond standard classroom instruction.  Arco Platform Limited generates revenue by charging partner schools annual fees for content on a per-student, per-year basis. Schools typically add a markup when charging parents, who pay the fees as part of their tuition. The company enters into long-term contracts with schools, usually for three years, providing steady income.

The contract fees are adjusted annually to account for cost changes and platform updates, ensuring stable financial flow.
