Apave Group

Based in Marseille France, and founded in 1867, Apave Group provides various industrial support for different industries and was initially established to improve employee safety. The company is chaired by Philippe Maillard as President. In February 2026, Apave Group, a portfolio company of PAI Partners, acquired OComp AS. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Apave offers a wide array of business support services to control the technical, human, and environmental risks such as training, certification, and labeling of products, inspection, QSSE management, consulting and technical support, tests, and measures. The company offers apogeeone, a platform enabling businesses to manage their online controls along with features such as customizable dashboards, monitoring of reports, documents, or observations, and periodic inspections. Apave also offers aviseone which allows clients to consult the regulatory texts applicable to their sector. Avisé Apave is capable of providing civil engineering consulting services, giving an independent perspective on the proposals of designers and builders to assess and anticipate the potential risk.

The group has training centers that offer training references in 17 fields in 3 sectors including aeronautics, public works building, and nuclear. The training references are also offered through e-learning or virtual classrooms. Apave Group generates revenue by providing inspection, certification, testing, training, and risk management services across industrial, environmental, human, and digital domains. The February 2026 acquisition will strengthen Apave’s Nordic presence, expands maritime and offshore training capabilities, complements Trainor’s digital learning, and builds an integrated safety training ecosystem.
