Based in London, UK, and founded in 2002 by CEO, Marc-Henri Chamay, Aosphere LLP is a LegalTech company offering online legal risk management products to help participants navigate legal opinions and developments in the derivatives space. In October 2023, Inflexion Capital Partners and Endicott Capital agreed to acquire Allen & Overy's Online Legal Information business unit called, Aosphere. Following the transaction, Allen & Overy will retain a minority stake in the business and the deal values the company at GBP 200 million.
Aosphere offers a legal and compliance data subscription platform. It's products cover a wide range of key compliance topics in the areas of data privacy; e-signatures; cross-border marketing; shareholding disclosure; issuer data services including including issuer takeover data, issuer articles of association data and temporary short selling bans; derivatives for the analysis of netting, collateral taking, pre-trade due diligence, clearing, margin and reporting requirements as well as ISDA e-contracts to analyze the e-contract opinions. Additionally, Aosphere clients include more than 725 blue-chip clients including banks, asset managers, and corporates. The company generates revenue by charging an annual subscription fee.
