Based in Oxfordshire, UK, and founded in 2013 by founder Kevin Brundish, AMTE Power Plc is a developer and manufacturer of lithium-ion battery cells. In January 2024, LionVolt B. V. , a portfolio company of BOM Brabant Ventures, Innovation Industries, and Goeie Grutten Impact Fund, acquired AMTE Power Plc's Battery Manufacturing Unit from AMTE Power Plc.
AMTE Power's product portfolio includes ultra-high power (UHP), ultra-safe (US), ultra energy (UE), and ultra prime (UPr). The UHP cell delivers power at a rate of over 35C and is being integrated into motorsport and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) programs. Ultra Safe cells are suitable for residential and off-grid applications due to thermal stability and broad operating temperature range. The ultra energy cell is available in the 2170 cylindrical format for long-range electric vehicles and energy storage systems.
