Founded in 2008 and based in Cairo, Egypt, Al Ismaelia for Real Estate Investment (S. A. E) operates as a real estate development company. The firm acquires, restores, and leases the real estate assets located within Downtown, Cairo.

Karim Shafei is the Co-Founder, Chairman & CEO of the company. BPE Partners acquired Al Ismaelia in 2008. In June 2021, the firm invested EGP 69 million in its most recent project, Consoleya, which is aimed at renovating the French consulate to establish a co-working environment for startups and entrepreneurs. Al Ismaelia for Real Estate Investment acquires, maintains, and renovates the heritage buildings in Cairo Downtown and then re-introduces them in a form capable enough to meet the commercial, retail, administrative, leisure, entertainment, or hospitality requirements of dynamic businesses. As of 2021, the company owns 25 properties with a built-in area of 75000 SQM and is partnered with 14 firms. Al Ismaelia conducts a walking tour named Cairo D-Tour, which helps attendees to explore the heritage sites, monumental buildings, and shops around Cairo Downtown with the assistance of a tour guide. The company also arranges events all-round the year with an aim to attract people to live, work, shop, and socialize.

Al Ismaelia intends to transform 150-year-old heritage buildings in Cairo's downtown with mixed-use quality designs. The business plans to launch 25 more stores and to complete the construction of a boutique hotel, with additional investments of about EGP 100 million planned for 2021.
