’s team of researchers and engineers develops and offers Sphere-9™, a catheter-based cardiac ablation (removal of faulty tissues in the heart to restore normal heart rhythm) technology and Affera Prism-1™, an integrated platform for cardiac mapping and navigation, which are designed to assist cardiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat), thereby enhancing the patient outcomes. The company intends to use the proceeds from December 2021 funding to further develop its platform and execute IDE (Investigational Device Exemption) trials, and clinical programs, as well as to scale up its manufacturing and operations. The acquisition by Medtronic Diabetes PLC is expected to close in the first half of Medtronic’s fiscal year 2023.
