Acorn Robot

Based in Beijing, China and founded in 2024, Beijing Acorn Robotics Technology Co. , Ltd. , dba Acorn Robot, is a company engaged in the research and application of robot tactile interaction perception and autonomous intelligent operation technologies. The company's core team consists of PhDs in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University and fellow in Neuroscience from Harvard University.

In March 2026, Acorn Robot raised approximately CNY 100 million in seed funding co-lead by Puhua Capital and Qiantang Materials Laboratory, with participation from other investors. Acorn Robotics focuses on the development of interaction technologies, enabling robots to achieve enhanced touch perception, environmental sensing, and adaptive manipulation capabilities. The company has developed two core models, Natus and Magis, to allow the robot to first acquire operational instincts, and then autonomously develop operational intelligence through interaction with the physical world. Natus is an edge-side autonomous decision-making model, which endows the robot with three instincts: orientation, exploration, and interaction without any training data; while Magis is a general operational skill model which leverages data with precise tactile semantics generated by Natus in real-world interactions to quickly train robots.

The company generates revenue primarily through developing robot tactile interaction perception and autonomous intelligent operation models. The company will use the seed funding in March 2026 for core technology iteration, product commercialization, and team expansion.
