Based in California, US, and founded in 1967 by Norm Christensen, AAE Aerospace is a rocket nozzle and space-related equipment supplier for the missile, interceptor, and space sectors. In February 2021, the firm was acquired by Karman Missile & Space Systems, a portfolio company of Trive Capital. The firm specializes in the development of fabrication materials and components for the structural and ablative composites industries including nose cones, heat shields, rocket motor nozzles, and motor cases. The company uses materials science to build components out of carbon, ceramic, and silicone composites, among other materials, directly with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
