GPs are still facing many of the difficulties that characterized the fundraising market in 2023. However, the data shows that fundraising levels are steadily increasing again and are on track to reach the highs seen in 2021 by 2028.
As fundraising grows, so does the total allocation to the largest funds, leaving smaller or newer managers often struggling to get a share of the capital.
The question for many GPs is just how much fundraising success can be attributed to their performance? And how have the expectations of investors changed in recent years?
