Performance Benchmark Update for Japanese Venture Capital 2024
Produced in partnership with the Japan Venture Capital Association (JVCA), this report presents the findings from our industry survey in May 2024 as well as the updated benchmark to December 2023. With performance data on a total of 206 constituent funds from 62 JVCA member firms, coverage of this dataset has now more than doubled since the inaugural benchmark factsheet in 2019, to represent 74% of the total Japan-focused VC fund universe in monetary terms.

Produced in partnership with the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA) and under eligibility from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), this benchmark comprises 607 schemes across AIF categories I, II, and III, with performance data as of September 30, 2024. In this report, Preqin has included sub-category benchmarks such as private equity, venture capital, private debt, and hedge funds.
