PRESS RELEASE
Preqin wins King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade category
May 07, 2024

Preqin is one of 252 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise

LONDON, 7 May 2024 – Preqin, the global leader in alternative assets data, tools, and insights, has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category.

Christoph Knaack, Chief Executive Officer at Preqin said, “We are delighted and honoured to be included in this year’s list of King’s Award winners. I would like to extend our thanks to the award panel and the UK Government for their confidence in and recognition of our company’s great work when it comes to international trade. I would equally like to express my profound gratitude towards our teams, partners, and clients from around the world. With their continued support and trust, we have built products that increase transparency and access across the global alternatives market. We will continue to innovate and best serve those who allocate to, invest in, or advise on alternative assets.”

Preqin, founded in 2003, is the industry’s leading provider of data and insights and remains the only data provider to cover all alternative asset classes in-depth at a global level. We constantly innovate and have recently developed enhanced data and tools to support clients in key workflows, including investment due diligence, asset-level valuations, fund fees and terms, as well as enhanced asset-level ESG metrics. Preqin’s talent base continues to grow, now counting over 1,500 employees in 15 locations, across four continents, including almost 700 in the UK.

In the past year, Preqin’s fund performance benchmarks were also recognised as the market leader* and its ESG Solutions have received numerous awards.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed last year to reflect His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s by recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme, now in its 58th year, is the most prestigious business award in the country.

It marks the third time Preqin has won this category, having previously achieved a Queen's Award for International Trade in 2016 and 2019 (companies that win an award are not eligible to apply in the same category for a number of years).
