Boothbay Fund Management (Boothbay) is a New York-based hedge fund manager founded in April 2012 by Ari Glass. The firm is dedicated to delivering consistent, uncorrelated absolute returns in all market environments. It combines proprietary portfolio construction and risk management technology to target traditional and non-traditional sources of alpha by dynamically allocating capital across strategies with idiosyncratic sources of return. Its investment strategies focus on all major asset classes globally. Within a broad range of investment strategies, the firm deploys its capital over $5.5BN of capital invested across approximately 115 managers to generate high-risk-adjusted returns. Boothbay allocates solely via separately managed accounts, via both traditional and first loss SMA structures. Traditional SMA allocations range from $15 to $130 MM. It seeks to identify managers with exceptional risk-adjusted returns across strategies of interest, including low net long/short equity (+/- 20% net exposure), niche/capacity-constrained, liquid strategies, etc. First loss SMA allocations range from $15-$150MM. Strategies of interest cover a broader universe versus traditional allocations and can include more directional strategies. The firm can also be a Day 1 investor via this structure. Lastly, it uniquely provides hybrid SMA arrangements, whereby it may allocate traditional capital alongside a manager’s first loss account.
