Angela is an experienced VP on the Research Insights team, and covers the private investments industry in the Asia-Pacific region. She has over 15 years' experience in investment analysis and risk management across asset classes in public and private markets – specializing in the valuation of private equity and private debt assets.

Alex Murray is a built environment economist with interests in the private financing of publicly funded infrastructure. Starting his career at KPMG, Alex spent eight years as a researcher and lecturer at UCL’s Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, and was a Senior Analyst at the UK Government’s Infrastructure and Projects Authority.

Rachel Dabora is a new Analyst on the Research Insights team at Preqin. Her past experiences have been in family office research, ESG research, and data analysis. She graduated with an MSc in Economic History from LSE and a degree in International Relations from USC in Los Angeles.
VP, Data Scientist, Engineering — London
With a PhD in Economics and an MSc in Applied Mathematics, Piotr has been a researcher in applied Bayesian methods in a central bank, part of an ECB team developing a methodology for short-term forecasts using large data sets of low frequency data, a market risk associate at LSE, and a lecturer at Warwick University for six years.
Senior Research Insights Manager — London
Colin has more than 15 years’ experience producing and editing research and analysis on private markets. His career started as a journalist covering infrastructure and private debt, at companies including Reuters and Acuris/ION Analytics, before moving into private equity and venture capital. At Preqin, he is responsible for managing the analysis and research reports written by the team.
AVP, Research Insights — Chicago
Charlie writes primarily on private capital markets in the Americas. Before Preqin, he was the data editor at Pensions & Investments, with prior experience in investment consulting. Charlie has a BBA from the University of Iowa and a Masters in Data Science from Northwestern University.
Analyst, Research Insights — Singapore
Gerard is part of the Preqin’s Research Insights team based in Singapore. He has over eight years of experience in the finance industry, with three years as an investment strategy analyst for one of the largest local wealth management firms providing research, due diligence, and portfolio management on retail mutual funds. He is a CFA level 2 candidate and holds a BBS in Finance from the University College of Dublin (UCD).
Chiziem is a research Analyst, an economics graduate and a recent joiner to the Preqin Research Insights team. Having interned with the likes of Barclays and JP Morgan, his background and experiences range from M&A to portfolio management, with a focus on healthcare and technology.

Michael Patterson has two years of experience in the investment industry and is currently part of Preqin’s Research Insights team based in New York. He was previously part of Preqin's Australasian institutional investor data team in Sydney. Michael is currently a CFA level 3 candidate and an applied finance graduate from Macquarie University.

Nicole leads the global Content team, spanning the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific, from Preqin’s headquarters in London. A former financial journalist, Nicole began her career as the Sander Thoenes Fellow at the Financial Times and was a private equity journalist at Dow Jones Newswires. She taught writing at George Washington University in Washington DC and ran Vodafone UK’s Media Center before joining Preqin. Nicole read English and American Literature at Harvard University and holds a second BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.
Editorial Planner — London
Libby oversees all things related to the content calendar, and edits Preqin’s digital content. Libby manages the weekly Insights+ newsletter and is part of the core team producing Preqin First Close. Her experience spans academic writing/publishing and film criticism, having graduated from Royal Holloway with a bachelor’s degree in Literature and Film Studies and a Master of Research degree in Media Arts.
Financial Writer, Americas — Chicago
Megan covers private capital in North America and globally. Before joining the content team, she was a senior researcher at Preqin focusing on venture capital. She worked as a Next Generation Assistant at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs prior to Preqin. Megan has an undergraduate degree in Political Science from DePaul University.
Financial Writer, Senior Associate — Singapore
Valerie covers Asia-Pacific's private capital markets, leveraging Preqin data to produce articles and research reports targeted at fund managers, investors, and consultants. Before joining Preqin, she worked for publications specializing in property and personal finance. She holds a BSS in Political Science from the National University of Singapore.
Editorial Associate — London
Tom joined the Editorial Team at Preqin in 2023. He has a strong eye for detail, with an interest in the socio-economic impact of infrastructure development in EMEA and APAC. Tom has a BA in History and Hispanic Studies from the University of Liverpool and is working towards his MA in Medieval Studies.

Danny McCance is a senior copy editor on the editorial team at Preqin, based in North America. He is an experienced writer and editor, and has worked on various publications focused on the public markets and financial services. He has a joint honors degree in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of Leeds.

Laura writes about private capital in Europe and globally. Before Preqin, she worked at the Financial Times and interned at the Dutch ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, and at a global record label. She studied law, followed by a Master's in law and economics.
Senior Writer, EMEA — London
Grant is an award-winning journalist and editor. At Preqin he writes about private capital, with a focus on Europe. He started focusing on private equity at Financial News in 1998 and has launched and edited a number of alternative assets publications, including Real Deals, Corporate Financier, and Limited Partner. Grant has a BA in Geography from the University of Nottingham.

Jasmin leads the Editorial team at Preqin. She has a keen eye for detail, having worked on commodities benchmarking at ICIS, the FCA Handbook, and legal and financial materials for Thomson Reuters. Prior to that she commissioned academic and professional books at leading companies including Macmillan, Hachette, OUP, and Kogan Page.
Senior Writer, APAC — Singapore
As a Senior Writer for APAC, Harsha leads the APAC Content team. Harsha previously led investor communications and relations at Golden Horse, a quant-focused global macro fund, and was a key member of the founding investor relations team at Lighthouse Canton, a billion-dollar asset management firm.
