State of Wisconsin Investment Board is hoping to commit USD 500 million to real estate funds in the next 12 months. The USD 78.1 billion public pension fund has not decided how many real estate funds it will commit to but the first investments are likely to be made in the next quarter. The public pension fund has also announced that it will no longer be using AEW Capital Management and Heitman as domestic REIT managers. It was reported that RREEF and European Investors will be taking over the management of the portfolios.
