Siraj Fund Management Company specializes in Palestinian investments. Founded by Massar International, a holding company headquartered in Ramallah, Palestine, its maiden fund, Siraj Palestine Fund I, was launched in 2010 and is targeting USD 80 million. The fund will invest in the capitalization of Palestinian companies, focusing on areas that display an untapped potential for growth and job creation. The fund may also invest in companies registered abroad that have significant operations in Palestine.

AcceleratorTech Capital Partners is another fund currently raising capital to invest in the region.  It is the maiden fund of Jordan-based Accelerator Technology Holdings and will provide early stage financing to MENA and North African companies in the digital content, internet services, mobile applications, technology services and platforms, next generation media, entertainment and software development sectors. In terms of geography the fund will target Jordan, Lebanon, Palestinian Territories, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia among other Arab and Islamic countries.

Catalyst Private Equity is expecting a final close of its Catalyst Private Equity Fund I in December. The fund is targeting USD 75 million and has already raised over USD 50 million to invest opportunistically in natural resources and utilities in countries including Palestine.

More recently, Abraaj Capital, a large private equity firm focusing on the Middle East, North African and South Asia, opened an office in Palestine. The firm’s USD 50 million Palestine Growth Capital Fund aims to invest in dynamic Palestinian small and medium enterprises.
