JPMorgan Asian Infrastructure & Related Resources Opportunity Fund is a pan-Asia infrastructure fund focusing predominantly on investments in China and India. The fund is seeking investment in developmental and operational infrastructure projects in transport and regulated utilities, and also investments in infrastructure-related companies. Investors in the JPMorgan Fund include Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement, Dallas Police & Fire Pension System and Merseyside Pension Fund.

The closing of the JPMorgan Asian Infrastructure & Related Resources Opportunity Fund is the second final close in as many weeks for the unlisted infrastructure fund market. During the last week of January, Alinda Capital Partners wrapped up its second infrastructure offering, Alinda Infrastructure Fund II, with USD 4 billion raised from investors. The two fund closures amount to USD 4.9 billion, only USD 1.4 billion less than the USD 6.3 billion aggregate total raised by unlisted infrastructure funds in 2009.
