A number of private equity investors have recently hired new investment staff

Barclays Wealth Management, a GBP 151 billion asset manager, has recently hired Boudewijn Jansen as head of private equity origination. He will report to Thomas Fekete, who is head of investment products in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Mr Jansen was previously involved with private equity at HSBC Alternative Investments.

TIFF (The Investment Fund for Foundations), a US-based private equity funds of funds manager, recently appointed Laurence H. Lebowitz as its president and CIO. Mr Lebowitz is due to join TIFF on 16th September from HBK Investments, which has been an external manager for TIFF for more than ten years.

The Broad Foundation, a USD 3 billion foundation based in Los Angeles, welcomed Marc Schwartz as CIO on 9th August. Mr Schwartz joined the foundation from Reservoir Capital Group where he worked there for nine years and was a senior member of the firm’s investment team. He will work closely with the foundation’s founder, Eli Broad, on the management of the investment portfolio for the foundation while also working on the Broad family’s personal investments.
