Westwood Management

Westwood Management (Westwood) is a global hedge fund manager based in Texas. The firm serves institutional investors, private wealth clients, and financial intermediaries. A registered investment adviser, Westwood Management was founded in 1983 and is currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of Westwood Holdings Group, Inc. In October 2014, Westwood added a small global convertibles team to its investment platform, which already included a U.S. value team, that is now part of its broader multi-asset team. The multi-asset team oversees a continuum of strategies including alternative income, an absolute return-focused liquid alternative convertible strategy, high income, income opportunity, and total return, as well as a strategic convertibles strategy. Effective December 21, 2020, with the continuing evolution of the multi-asset team, Westwood made the decision to no longer offer strategies solely focused on convertible securities. This strategic realignment led to the transition of the convertible portfolio managers back to Aviva Investors, the firm from which it joined Westwood in 2014. Westwood is retaining one member of the team for its multi-asset team. Westwood acquires Salient Partners and its assets in Q4 2022.
