Vietnam Asset Management

Established in Q4 of 2006, Vietnam Asset Management (VAM) was a Vietnam-based hedge fund manager founded by Nguyen Xuan Minh that primarily engaged in public and private equity investment and advisory services. VAM enhanced investor returns through rigorous fundamental analysis and due diligence practices, coupled with an active bottom-up fund management style. Its proprietary VAM Company Analysis System (VCAS) was the first comprehensive in-house company analysis, portfolio management, and trading system developed by a Vietnam-focused asset manager. The firm offered international standard investment management combined with local expertise to its institutional and individual clients through corporate structured funds, both open-end and closed-end, unit trusts, exchange-traded funds, and segregated accounts. Vietnam Asset Management has liquidated its funds and was acquired by UOB Asset Management in 2021.
