Established in Q1 of 2018, Twin Lions Management (Twin Lions) is a Connecticut-based hedge fund manager managed by Timothy R. Abbott. Tim spent about four years as an analyst at Hound Partners, a hedge fund sponsor based in New York. Before joining Hound, Tim spent almost three years as an analyst at CPMG, a hedge fund sponsor based in Texas. Twin Lions employs a concentrated, value-oriented approach to investing in publicly traded securities. The firm employs a rigorous, bottom-up fundamental research process to select its investments. It seeks to invest in companies that have: (1) strong business franchises, attractive returns on capital, and favorable growth prospects; (2) capable and honest management teams; and (3) market prices significantly below the estimate of intrinsic value. Twin Lions maintains a concentrated portfolio typically consisting of 5-15 positions. The firm also has an office in New York.
