Torq Capital Management was a Hong Kong-based hedge fund manager founded in July 2016 by Avinash Abraham, the former head of Asia for Balyasny Asset Management and a former portfolio manager at Citadel. The firm managed an Asia-Pacific equity market neutral strategy that sought to maintain low levels of net exposure to equity markets generally as well as country, sector, and factor betas. The firm shut down and all of the funds were liquidated in Q1 of 2024, and capital was returned to the investors.
