Established in June 2019, Sage Capital (Sage) is a hedge fund manager based in New South Wales, wholly owned by its directors and staff. The firm provides investors access to two long/short Australian equities strategies that aim to generate return and control risk through a balanced investment process that uniquely combines quantitative and fundamental analysis. It believes long-term value creation is achieved by going deeper into company analysis, balanced with the rigor of an objective process. The firm stock selection process utilizes two complementary sources of return, employing both a quantitative and a fundamental process. This process aims to identify companies that deliver earnings outcomes on an attractive risk/reward basis. Sage Capital seeks to generate alpha over the long term through an investment approach that combines fundamental and quantitative analysis. Its partnership with Channel Capital Pty Ltd (Channel) allows the investment team to focus on investing and investment outcomes in line with investment strategy objectives, whilst Channel provides all other services which ultimately serve the purpose of providing client services and building a diversified client mix of institutional and wholesale/advised clients.
