Founded in 1998, RISA Partners (RISA) is a Tokyo-based investment bank and fund manager, investing in private equity, private debt and real estate assets primarily in Japan. RISA operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of NEC Capital Solutions. RISA specializes in buyout investments, growth/turnaround capital, mezzanine financing and distressed strategy, targeting small and medium enterprises in Japan that are facing business succession issues, planning to go public/private, or seeking business expansion/turnaround. It remains flexible in its investment size, stake and sector. The firm manages a number of regional revitalization funds, working closely with the governmental organizations and local financial institutions to revitalize regional economies throughout Japan. RISA also engages in real estate asset management and advisory business through its subsidiaries including RIFAS. The joint entity seeks to invest in hotel properties across Japan that are affected by covid-19 pandemic. As part of its oversea business, RISA provides venture capital and growth equity globally, with a particular focus on Southeast Asia. In April 2012, RISA established RISA Partners Asia in Singapore to provide growth capital to small and medium-sized enterprises in Southeast Asia. The group manages two growth funds, Japan South East Asia Growth Fund and Japan South East Asia Finance Fund, in partnership with Development Bank of Japan.Read more ⏷
