REMS Group

Established in 1997, REMS Group was an alternative mutual fund management firm based in Florida. It was also a real estate research firm that had actively managed differentiated, value-oriented portfolios of real estate securities for select institutional and high net worth clients. The investment team sought to identify attractive yet undervalued investment opportunities in publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), Real Estate Operating Companies (REOCs), and REIT Preferred Equity securities. With more than 100 years of diverse real estate and investment experience combined, REMS investment team aimed to identify these opportunities through the application of its disciplined and systematic value, yield-advantage investment process. The research may have led the investment team to opportunities that have not yet been identified by others in the sector. REMS investment process considered all capitalizations but their all-cap strategies tended to have a mid to smaller bias – driven by a rigorous process and the extensive research the team performed in underwriting each investment candidate. The team constructed a relatively concentrated portfolio of value-oriented investments with the diverse geographic, sector, and tenant exposures. The resulting portfolios were differentiated when compared with the many ETFs and index-like products offered today. REMS Group finalized a merger with LDR Capital as of April 2022.
