Prairie Capital is a fund manager that focuses on the lower end of the middle market, partnering with management and other private equity investors to affect a recapitalization or buyout. The firm typically makes control and select minority investments, often in support of companies undergoing an ownership change. Prairie Capital does not invest in early-stage companies, turnarounds, or companies with project-based revenues, nor does it offer bridge financing. The firm focuses on the niche manufacturing, business and financial services, and education industries within the US.
