Platina Partners was established in 2002 as an independent European private equity firm investing primarily in private equity and more generally across all asset classes. The private equity arm operates on the French and European lower middle markets and typically invests in healthcare, the silver economy, pet care and services, K-12 schools, higher and professional education as well as sustainable living solutions. In terms of venture capital, Platina primarily focuses on the growth stages of venture capital with a specific appetite for investments related to electric vehicles, robotics, artificial intelligence, blockchain, clean tech, big data, mobility, virtual and augmented reality, the Internet of Everything, and mobile. As an investor in the European renewable energy space, Platina has invested in major solar PV and wind projects predominantly in continental Europe, the Nordics, the UK and opportunistically elsewhere. Platina also runs a permanent capital portfolio including fund of funds, co-invest and co-lead opportunities across markets (Europe, US, Emerging Markets) and this capital can be opportunistically invested in alternative assets and liquid markets to either diversify or complement the remaining strategies.
