Paradox Capital Management was a New Jersey-based systematic hedge fund manager established in January 2013. The firm was founded by Mark Serafini, a former trader at Weiss Multi-Strategy Advisers where he developed and co-managed a low-frequency diversified managed futures trading program across the equity index, interest rates, FX, metals, and agriculture markets. Paradox Capital Management sought to generate alpha by blending uncorrelated trading strategies in order to increase returns while simultaneously lowering both volatility and draw-downs. The firm was a registered CPO with the CFTC and a member of the NFA.
