Meteor5 Capital Advisors provides emerging general partners with start-up capital to hire and compensate members of their team in advance of raising funds from institutional investors, as well as strategic advice and other high value-added services. The firm prefers spin-out teams with top-quartile investment performance and is targeting $300-$500mn for their debut fund. The managers will have US-focused investment strategies but will consider Western European strategies. Meteor5 will consider a broad range of buyout, growth and other private equity strategies including, but not limited to, teams that focus on: sectors, country-specific or regional strategies, and special situations. The firm will generally not invest in real estate, infrastructure, or credit-related funds.
