Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Ltd (KAAML) is a a diversified financial services institution, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kotak Mahindra Group. KAAML focuses on managing the alternate assets businesses of the group which includes Private Equity, Private Debt, Natural Resources, Infrastructure, Real Estate, and ESG. The firm adopts ESG best practices to foster sustainable growth and development. The firm manages institutional capital and currently has several Sovereign Wealth Funds, Global Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, and Development Finance Institutions as investors. The Private Equity arm seeks opportunities across a wide range of sectors including Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Consumer Services, Financial Services, and Technology. The Private Debt arm targets both pre-stress and distressed special situation opportunities, with a key focus on providing financial support to pre-stress businesses to prevent them from entering insolvency. The Natural Resources and Infrastructure arm invests in power generation and transmission, transportation, water treatment and supply, waste management, and gas distribution and storage in India.
